Copyright Issues

I have received an email from a fellow FAA member asking me about the DISCLAIMER I used to have on my biography. I took it out now, but it used to state:

***DISCLAIMER: If you feel that any of the images in this profile is not being properly used, is infringing copyright laws or has any other problem, please contact me and I will remove it immediately.***

She asked me if there was any work on my galleries which were not mine. The answer is NO. All works on my galleries are mine.

As I explained to her, the reason of this disclaimer dates back to my first days on FAA when I posted a photo of the Eiffel Tower at night, with all the lights on. That was a great shot and it was so beautiful that I did not have to do any digital modification on it. Not even contrast. A couple of days later I received a shocking email saying that I could be in trouble for posting and selling photos of the Eiffel Tower by night. I discovered then that the lights of the Eiffel Tower are copyrighted and you really cannot post any pictures of it. You can check it here:

Copyright Claims for the Eiffel Tower

I tried to sort out the photography copyright laws, but after trying very hard, I realized that it's simply impossible. I wanted to post a document in the internet to help beginner photographers, but I still could not write it.

Finally, I erased the disclaimer because the email made me see that it can be very confusing. However, still, if anyone find any copyright issues in my photos, please let me know and I will consider it.
